| Cable & Wireless Don Austin | Travel agents from around the world have awarded Cable & Wireless top honors as the Worlds Leading Provider of Communications Solutions and the Worlds Leading Provider of High Speed Internet Access.
The announcement was made at the World Travel Awards Ceremony, held last Saturday evening in Barbados.
Voting forms were emailed to over 150,000 frontline travel agents and over 80,000 travel agencies worldwide, allowing them to vote online for their choices of the Worlds Best in the Travel Industry. Other contenders vying for the awards were British Telecom, Deutche Telecom and AT&T.
Accepting the awards, Don Austin, President of Cable & Wireless Barbados, said We are indeed honored to receive these two awards.
Cable & Wireless has been working tirelessly over many years to bring the latest and best technology to our customers, and these awards, which I accept on behalf of our employees across the Globe, are a testament to our excellent customer service levels and commitment to being the best telecommunications service provider wherever we serve.
Over 500 guests as well as global press, media and television networks attended the event, held at the Sherbourne Centre in Barbados. |
