Kajola holds second graduation ceremony

Graduates display their certificates proudly with their tutor

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - TEN members of the staff of Kajola Kristada Ltd. (KK) were, yesterday (Dec. 14), were presented with certificates for their hard work and accomplishments at the second Kajola Kristada School Graduation Ceremony.

     

    The ceremony was held at the company’s location at the Industrial Site, and it saw family, friends and well wishers all coming out to celebrate with the graduates their passing of Basic Technical Math, under the training of  Olawale Momoh.

     

    Guest Speaker for the event, Osbert DeSuza, Project Manager of the Basic Needs Trust Fund, told the graduates that instead of speaking to them about the importance of Mathematics, he would provide them with a few scenarios that can be applied to daily lives.

     

    The graduates were given a lesson on how to apply what they learned using three situations that they could relate to in their everyday lives. These included the use of Hire Purchase, electricity and making addition to one’s home.

     

    He congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to continue on their learning journey.
    General Manager of KK, Jose Rosa, in congratulating the graduates, expressed how pleased he was to be celebrating another milestone in Kajola Kristatda Ltd - the second graduation ceremony.

     

    He said that he was very happy that the workers decided to take the course, noting that this is the first course where members of Management were not included.

     

    "Many times when there are seminars and outside courses to be taken, it is felt that only persons from the management team are considered. In Kajola Kristada Ltd., I believe that everybody should get a change to improve and get educated," he said.

     

    He explained that the school is the platform used to provide the mechanisms for achieving their goals and that he strongly believes that an educated workforce is an asset which delivers strength to an organization and paves the road to increase flexibility – a vital element for growth of the organization.

     

    Graduates for the course were Rinita Challenger, Vanessa Joseph, Beverly Douglas, Ivanka James, Pamella Hamilton, Calvin Richards, Colleen Strawn, Elvine Carey, Shorna Johnson, Orden Allen.
