Digicel staff presents less-fortunate children with Christmas gifts
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, December 16th, 2011 – The Christmas Season is the time of year when we gather with loved ones, friends and family. The team at Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis visited the St. Christopher Children’s Home on Thursday December 15th, to spread some Christmas cheer and love with the less-fortunate children. Bearing gifts for each child at the Home, the Digicel Team were met with wide open arms and warm friendly smiles.
Laughter could be heard throughout the Home that evening as the children and the Digicel team members shared light hearted moments with each other. The children were quick to show the latest hand games and also share their talents such as poetry and signing with the visiting Digicel Team. The children then gathered around their dining tables to partake in some mouth-watering goodies which the Digicel Representatives prepared for them.
The meal was blessed by little 10 year old boy, a resident of the St Christopher Children’s Home. Two of the youngest children then rendered Christmas carols which were well-received by everyone present at the Christmas social.
Each member of the Digicel team then individually presented a child with a Christmas gift. Each child showed their appreciation by expressing thanks, some even shared a few kisses on the cheeks. “Being able to give these presents to you this evening and seeing the smiles on your faces is the best Christmas gifts that we can ever receive this Christmas Season,” expressed Sean Latty, Country Manager for Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis, who was also in attendance at The Children’s Home. “The Digicel Team would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and truly hope that you will enjoy these gifts which are given with lots of love and are gifts of the heart.”
The Digicel ambassadors left The St. Christopher Children’s Home content that all the children would be having a Bigger & Better Christmas this year. Latty encourages everyone to “give the gift of giving this Christmas, especially to those in our communities who are in need or less fortunate, there is no greater gift than the gift of giving and we should endeavor to do this all year round but not just at Christmas” Digicel St. Kitts and Nevis wishes everyone in our beloved twin island Federation, Happy Holidays and a prosperous 2012!
