Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts ,December 21st, 2011 -- The Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant has added a number of well known personalities to their already star-studded event.

Local Reggae King and now premier Soca/Calypso Performer Masud Sadiki has been added to the pageant as a guest performer. Sadiki is described as the most influential reggae performer coming out of St. Kitts – Nevis.

Masud, who also goes by the name “Stitch in Time” during the carnival season as a calypso soca performer, delivers everything that is positive and great about reggae, soca and Caribbean music. Armed with a wealth of experience, passion, love for humanity, talent and countless self-penned songs, Sadiki is all polished and set to take the Caribbean Talented TEEN stage by storm.

Last week it was announced that legendary Antiguan Radio Personality Sly-J will be the special guest host of the Pageant.  The committee is now pleased to announce that two more personalities have been added to the hosting cast. Former Miss St.Kitts Carnival Queen Johan Kelly and reigning Caribbean World Queen Sudeakka Francis will join Sly-J to make up a Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant Hosting threesome.

The fabulously beautiful, talented , intelligent  and  bilingual Kelly won the Miss St.Kitts Carnival Queen title back in 2004 at age 25 after winning six of the judged segments of the show. She also went on to participate in the Miss Carival in St.Vincent where the beauty was adjudged Ms Photogenic.

Sudeakka is the reigning Caribbean World Queen. The beautiful and talented Francis won the Miss St.Kitts Carnival Queen Title in 2009. She went on to win the Miss Caribbean World Title in the BVI in May of this year.

“Masud is easily one of the most popular performers not only locally but regionally as well and we are certainly happy to have him perform on this years edition of the show, said Committee Member Wallis Wilkin.

“Sly-J was certainly enough to carry any show in the region but of course the Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant is not just any pageant but the most Prestigious Pageant in the Caribbean therefore it is only fitting that Sly-J is complimented by not just one but two Queens , a Caribbean Queen and a St.Kitts Queen ,”  Wilkin continued.

Caribbean music sensation Infamus is the headline performer and according to his management his preparations for his performance is progressing smoothly and patrons could expect his best performance of his whirlwind career thus far.
