Even Kajola Kristada has a wacky side!

By: Jenise Ferlance, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - For the past few weeks, primary, secondary, and even pre-schools have been having what they dubbed, "Wacky Friday", where they would, on one Friday or the other, come to school in garments displaying their creative side of fashion.

This theme has spilt into the working world as yesterday (Dec. 21), Kajola Kristada Ltd. held their first ever "Wacky Wednesday".

Yesterday's event saw a host of weird creativity. The employees definitely put their minds to work and came up with the most bizarre costumes.

Some were seen depicting the image of a 'granny' with colourful dresses, knee high socks and sneakers. Some wore primary and secondary school uniforms complete with pig tails, ribbons and school bags.

Some wore night gowns, multi-coloured socks, flour bags for jackets, clothes pins as hair accessories, reindeer antlers, and odd shoes.

One employee donned the attire of a pimp, one as a pregnant teen, another as a joker, one even potrayed the image of the prime minister, and there was even a Little Miss Muffet.

One employee stood out from the rest as she showed up in multi-coloured socks pulled up over long tights, a neck tie, pigtails decorated with ribbons of many colours, bunny rabbit ears, and a scarf covering an adult diaper.

Planner of Kajola, Dawn Poujade, explained that the idea came from a member of staff who suggested having the wacky day, and management agreed.

The decision was made to have a Wacky Wednesday as the Company closes off production today (Dec. 22) and officially close for Christmas season on Friday (Dec.23).

When asked if this would be a continuous event, Poujade said, "Management has not gotten that far with discussions but with Kajola, you never know what can happen."
