Press Release

BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 22nd 2011 - With the days winding down to the 32nd annual production of the Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant, the Miss St.Kitts representative 15 year old Siobhan (Shivon) Phipps , is set and ready to put on a marvelous performance.

This world-class spectacle is slated to take place next Thursday (December 29th) at Carnival Village at 8pm sharp.

Phipps' chaperone, Ms. Ozelle Martin of Glittering reign Pageant and Coaching Consulting says preparations for the show are going well and is confident that Phipps will do well.

"Preparations are going fine. Everything is going smoothly. Siobhan is a fast learner. Most of the segments was covered by mid November. Now we're just fine tuning things, making sure everything is in place," she says.

Ms. Martin has praised the standard of the pageant.

"When you have a regional pageant with girls from all over the region, it shows that it is a very prestigious pageant. In this instance, the girls will have to put forth their best and maintain not just consistency but a high level of consistency," she expresses.

Ms. Martin  is optimistic that the fact that the pageant is a regional one which integrates our Caribbean representatives from various islands coming for a common purpose, it is a sign that as a region we can work together outside pageantry.

Recently, Miss Washington Archibald High School 15 year old Junika Berry captured the 2011/2012 Talented teen title. She will be representing St. Kitts in the Digicel Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant next year.

Ms. Martin is advising Berry to start preparing early.

"I would advise her to begin preparations early. It is one of the best ways to ensure that you are comfortable on the night of the show and put forth your best," she encourages.
