BASSETERRE St. Kitts, December 23rd, 2011 -- What a year this has been for our discussions with you.  We starting out in 2011 talking about the economy and this topic continued to dominate our conversations throughout the  year. 

Notwithstanding, we also found time to play debt scrabble and snakes and ladders with our finances and we sat down to talk about the tax man only to lead the conversation back to the economy as we pondered how to grow the private sector and grow the economy and how to survive in a recession and right-size our governments.

  Although we could not give you any definite word on when the economic downturn would end,  we kept the faith and reminded you to hone your entrepreneurial skills,  invest in your children’s education and strengthen your finances through regular savings and wise investments.  We even wrote a song about it; Grow Your Savings.  These are but a few of the issues that we enjoyed discussing with you and we hope that you found them  to be engaging and insightful.

In this issue of “Your Financial News” the conversation has shifted to  the lighter side.  We hope you enjoy our Dear Santa and My Dear Child  letters  and in keeping with our objective of providing you with an engaging learning forum,  we invite you to sit down with your family, friends and colleagues in a discussion of our mini case, An Uneasy Choice.  

We hope that this case will cause you to reflect on the importance of making wise choices in your financial life.  In wrapping up our final issue for 2011, we could not leave without reminding you about  the importance of budgeting and developing your financial intelligence.   So that’s it for our December issue of ““Your Financial News” .
