Business Update - Pay day has come!

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THURSDAY (Dec. 22), former workers of the now obsolete Clear Harbor, a call centre that was situated within proximity of the RLB International Airport were, finally given their outstanding dues.

     

    Yesterday approximately 113 ex-workers gathered at the Labour Department to pick up their last cheques and finally put the events of that day behind them.

     

    Apparently, the workers were paid some time before but after complaints were made about incorrect calculations, the matter was investigated and it was discovered that some persons were still owed a total of $125 000.

     

    On March 30, 2011, the Company ceased operations without prior notice, leaving some 131 persons without an occupation.

     

    On that note, SKNVibes presents another update on what is going on in the business arena.
    HORSFORD - Horsford's Furniture and Appliances is giving customers three big ways to save this December with reduced monthly and weekly payments, a chance to win free furniture and triple cash back coupons for free groceries.

     

    With every EC $100 spent on Hire Purchase between October to December, customers get a chance to win their choice of a bedroom set, living room set, dining room set or kitchen appliances.

     

    KAJOLA KRISTADA LTD. - Wednesday (Dec. 21), Kajola Kristada Ltd. held their first ever "Wacky Wednesday" where the employees went to work displaying some of the most bizarre costumes. Some were dressed as a pimp, a pregnant teen, a joker, the prime minister, Little Miss Muffet, grandmothers and primary and high school children.

     

    LIME - On Monday (Dec. 19) two more customers have been added to the growing list of LIME’s lifetime promotion winners. Rosalyn Williams and Denise Barett-DeFreitas received free internet and mobile service respectively for the next forty years.

     

    Customers who top-up $10 or more, purchase a mobile phone, sign-up for LIME post-paid service, upgrade any existing mobile or internet service, or pay their post-paid or landline bill on time and in full, will automatically be entered for a chance to win.

     

    TDC – On Dec, 24 Santa Claus arrived at the City Drug Store (CDS). Between the hours of three and four, Santa Claus was giving  away treats to little children, and parents who spent EC $25 or more in the store got a chance to have their child/children's photo taken with Santa.

     

    Parents who did not spend the EC$25 also had their child/children's photo taken with Santa for a small fee.
    CDS also had a had a store wide discount on that day, along with shopper vouchers and giveaways. Store hours were extended from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

     

    DIGICEL - This year, Digicel is giving customers a chance to win EC$150 000 in its 'GRABCASH' Christmas promotion. Customers qualify by simply topping up their prepaid handsets with $15 or more and collect letters to spell ‘GRABCASH’, pay 50 percent or more of their Digicel postpaid bill, purchase a new BlackBerry handset with sim card, or activate any prepaid plan or sign up for a new postpaid account.

     

    Every Friday, winners enter the Cash Vault and grab cash, free credit, BlackBerry Smart Phones, high-end handsets, restaurant vouchers and other prizes. Customers on other networks also have a chance to grab cash and prizes.
