BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SOME 12 persons, who all play various roles in the award-winning band Krosfyah featuring Edwin Yearwood, arrived in St. Kitts today (Dec. 29) for the mega Carnival Fete, Inception, which takes place tomorrow at the historic Fort Thomas Hotel Grounds.

Sometime after 11:00 a.m. the members of the band arrived at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport and were greeted by the press and members of Team Inception.

In its second year, Inception is an all-inclusive Carnival Fete, where patrons can pay flat entrance fee of EC$100 or EC$150 for VIP and allows them to enjoy a variety of unlimited amounts of drinks for free from 10:00 p.m. until 10:00 a.m.

The event will also feature 14 acts, including bands, DJs and artistes whose stellar talents and performances will add to the magnitude of the fete.

This year’s event is dubbed the “Wotless-Edition” and will feature one of the Caribbean’s most successful soca bands that produced hits such as ‘She Body in Control’, ‘Pump Me Up’ and ‘Sak Passe’.

“The people can expect a fantastic time. We’re really excited about the event and can’t wait. Whenever we come here we always get that family atmosphere,” Edwin Yearwood said.

Team Inception member Marsha Henderson welcomed the members of the band to St. Kitts and said she hope they would have a great time while on the island.

Along with Krosfyah will be Sweet Sister Sensia, Chalice Sounds, Midnight Squad, Sugar Bowl, Wett Dutt, Nu Vybes, Small Axe, Grand Masters, Odisi, Newtown Iron Band, Infamus, and the winners of both categories of the Soca Monarch Competition - Shakki and Mighty Takeover.

Inception was first introduced to Kittitians and Nevisians in 2010 and highlighted Burning Flames, as patrons partied ‘til morning and left when the last band, Small Axe, stopped playing sometime after 9: 00 a.m.

At a previous press conference, it was said that Breakfast would be served at 7:00 a.m.

“We felt the need to provide an avenue for locals and visitors to celebrate Carnival in an attractive and secure environment. And in doing so we decided the best way would be an all-inclusive event, and we cannot do this without the many sponsors and contributors to this event,” said Chairman of Inception Anthony Johnson.

A sober zone will also be on the grounds for those who need a break from the alcohol or those who prefer water and energy drinks. In addition, vendors will have food on sale.

For those who will opt for that extra special treatment, owners of Cloud 9 will be in charge of the VIP section and will be offering a package for persons coming from Nevis. They also said that they would have special surprises for their patrons.

Today is the last day for patrons to receive that discounted price, as the price increase for tickets will start from tomorrow (Dec. 30) at EC$120 for regular tickets and VIP EC$175.
