~~Adz:Left~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts  - THE public is being commended for the generally-good behavior and cooperation displayed over the Labour Day weekend.

SKNVibes understands that over the weekend there were more than seven events including the Labour Day March, Labour’s Picnic, PAM’s gathering, the Super 4 Playoffs and the Green Valley Beach Bash.

In an exclusive interview with SKNVibes, Head of the Police Force’s Press and Public Relations Office Inspector Cromwell Henry explained that members of the Police Force policed all the events and reported that there were no major incidents.

He also indicated that while there were a few “minor incidents”, the public is to be commended.  To this end, on behalf of the Police Force’s High Command, he expressed sincere appreciation to the public for conducting themselves in a relatively good manner.

“There were no major incidents reported at any of the functions. While there were a few acts of disorderly behaviour, they were quickly dealt with by the police and did not affect the events in any way. The High Command of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police extends its heartfelt gratitude to members of the public, who attended the various activities over the Labour Day weekend, for their cooperation and generally-good behavior.”

Stressing the importance of maintenance of high levels of good behaviour, Henry expressed, “We urge your continued good behavior in future events of this nature.”

The policemen and policewomen, who worked to ensure that peace and order were maintained during the weekend events, were also extended comments of gratefulness.

“The High Command also wishes to thank police officers who policed these events for their vigilance and their efforts at maintaining public order and safe conclusion of functions.”
