BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JANUARY 19TH 2005 (CUOPM) The Queen Mary 2, the largest cruise ship in the world docked at St. Kitts Port Zante Wednesday morning on its third call for the year and its fourth since its inaugural voyage in 2004.
The 150,000 gross ton vessel, which sailed from Miami with stops in St. Thomas and St. Maarten before arriving in St. Kitts, the only Eastern Caribbean port that it can berth, brought 2,620 sun, sea and fun seeking passengers.
The QM2 is scheduled to make seven more calls to St. Kitts during the Season, with stops every Wednesday in February, three in March and one in April.
The QM2 was one of four cruise ships visiting St. Kitts on Wednesday. The 42,000-ton Aidavita with 1203 passengers docked at Port Zante; the 355-passenger Silver Whisper docked at the Deep Water Port and the Polynesia with 98 passengers dropped anchor in the Basseterre Roadstead.
The parade of cruise ships to Port Zante continues on Thursday with the visit of the Empress of the Seas with an expected 2,020 passengers.

The cruise ship visited St. Kitts last Saturday with 1827 passengers. The Van Gogh visited on Sunday with 477 passengers.
The MS Adonia with 2004 passengers and the Golden Princess with 2,707 passengers docked at Port Zante on Tuesday. The Star Clipper and the Zenith are expected to visit on Friday with 122 and 1,375 passengers respectively.
A total of 14,710 passengers from 11 ships would have visited St. Kitts between last Saturday and this coming Friday.
Tourism industry stakeholders have expressed satisfaction with the cruise ship season to date.
