One new murder case for January 2012 Criminal Assizes

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE two brothers charged with the murder of local DJ and son of former Commissioner of Police (COP), Laustin ‘Jamie’ Williams are expected to have their case heard at the January 2012 Criminal Assizes.

     

    The two brothers are Kelroy ‘C-Face’ Hazel (22) and Jahari ‘Baddie’ Bart (19), of St. Johnson Village.

     

    They are being represented by Chesley Hamilton and at the beginning of the assizes will be arraigned where they will enter a plea for the crime.

     

    According to previous reports by this media house, Williams (26), the son of former COP, Austin Williams and his wife Laura of Bay View Gardens, was killed after being shot multiple times to the body while in an abandoned yard in Buckley’s Estate shortly after 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011.

     

    An autopsy performed on Williams’ body by Forensic Pathologist of Stephen Jones of Barbados revealed that he died as a result of gunshot injuries to the head, chest and abdomen with haemorrhage and shock.

     

    That murder case will bring a total of six murder cases for the new assizes along with one manslaughter case.

     

    Melvina Kelly, Denver Fyfield, Jahdell Browne and Amal and Devon Fyfield are all facing murder charges that have been traversed from previous assizes.

     

    Nelson Challenger, Shenroy Francis, Jami Rawlins, Glenroy Smithen and Moses Gardner are all being charged with murder/manslaughter in the case of Gregory Zakers.
