BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – STONEWALLS Garden Bar and Bistro, located in the heart of Basseterre on Princes Street, is surrounded by centuries-old stones, a relic enough for you to visit if only to see the structure.

Through the eye of a needle, a travel through time and into another world or perhaps a different century...that’s what it feels like when one enters Stonewalls Garden Bar and Bistro. 

Princes Street is bordered on the east by Fort Street, west by Church Street, north by Central Street and south by Liverpool Row.
 
If you are driving and want to visit the entity from the Church Street entrance, traffic will be flowing in one direction – southbound - and from Fort Street, traffic will be flowing in the opposite direction.

Enough about how to get there if you are driving...Now, once you get there you will be greeted by tall trees, tropical flowers, the sound of chirping birds and the feeling that you are entering a garden. Oh no, not the Garden of Eden, but a secret garden! Located in the South East corner is a fountain that perpetually bubbles like a brook down a gently rolling hill side. 

The sound of the water is so soothing it is easy for you to forget that you are just there to buy lunch and get back to work.

The colour scheme and interior decorations are reminiscent of an island cabana in the middle of a concrete jungle. 

If you normally imbibe, Stonewalls has something for you too. 

There is a television set and barstools for you to relax and have a drink or two with your friends at the end of the workday, or whenever, and watch the ‘plays of the day’ on the sports channel, or if by yourself to soak up the atmosphere or commiserate about the increase in the cost of living to the friendly bartender!  Did we mention the “free wireless internet”??? Shortage in seating accommodation may be realised at times, and it is advised that you make reservation especially on Fridays.
