BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are currently investigating an alleged rape incident involving a nine-year-old girl and a senior member of her extended family.
Reports reaching SKNVibes, which was confirmed by the Police Press and Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Stephen Hector, indicate that a report was recently made at a certain police station concerning the alleged rape incident.
This media house was informed that the report was made by the little girl’s stepfather after the parents were requested to visit the school that the child attends, based on an observation by a teacher which led to the revelation of the alleged incestuous and inhumane act.
SKNVibes was further informed that after observing a peculiar behaviour by the child, the teacher spoke with her and it was revealed that she was sexually abused.
This publication was told that the little girl was examined by a medical practitioner who diagnosed that the act was perpetrated more than once.
Additionally, it was alleged that the perpetrator had anal sexual intercourse with the minor and also fellatio.
It is also said that the perpetrator had gone into hiding but this was not confirmed by Sergeant Hector, who categorically stated that “a report was made and police have launched an investigation”.
