Digicel and Rams join to host “Meet & Greet Event” for Resellers

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - RESELLERS of Digicel products were the guests of honour at a “Meet and Greet Event” held at the Ocean Terrace Inn on Saturday, May 17, 2008. The event was organised in conjunction with Rams who is Digicel’s main distribution agent.
The event presented an opportunity for newly-appointed Country Manager Greg Gilpin-Payne to familiarise himself with more persons in the distribution network. The resellers were given the chance to highlight challenges they may have faced and/or are facing.
Gilpin-Payne indicated that he was pleased with the turnout, estimating that about a quarter of all resellers in St. Kitts were present. Further, he explained that that was admirable due to the fact that most, if not all, persons present and even those absent were sole traders and would have had to close their business establishments to attend the event.
Some resellers left the event as beneficiaries of the original Digicel slogan “Expect More, Get More” as door prizes were given out according to seating ticket. Some prizes were compliments of Rams the “Good Food People” in the form of vouchers, and other prizes ranged from Digicel’s promotional items to cell phones and a DVD player.
Gilpin-Payne revealed that over the next three months sales would be monitored. He added that an awards ceremony would be held to honour the top resellers on the island at the end of that period.
