BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SCHOLARS of St. Kitts and Nevis continue to keep the Federation’s flag majestically fluttering in the North American breeze, as four more of them graduated with high recognition from the Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, USA.

According to a release from the university, students of the Federation graduated with high recognition at Midwestern State Un-iversity Commencement on May 10, as a record 70 Caribbean students earned Bachelor and Master’s degrees.

The release said that Fadil Imo earned Magna Cum Laude honours and a Bachelor of Art degree in International Studies. Imo also served as Student Government Vice President and was honoured as the Man of the Year at Midwestern.

It also stated that Kittitian Imo Moses earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, while Delca Cornelius of Nevis earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Kittitian Venories McCall earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.

“This was a spectacular day for Caribbean students,” said Dr. Howard Farrell, University Vice President for Student Affairs. “It speaks to the quality of the preparation done in the secondary system on the island.”    ~~Adz:Right~~

Over 600 students and family members attended the Graduation Dinner which followed a splendid performance by Shurwayne Winchester, who performed at the spectacular graduation weekend at the university on the night before graduation.

The release stated that 20 new students from St. Kitts and Nevis would be undergoing studies at the Midwestern State University from August, accounting for almost 900 recruits from the Caribbean in the history of the 15-year-old programme.
