    Two charged in Richardson shooting

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - A man and a woman were arrested and charged for the Buckley’s shooting incident involving the late Chesil ‘Killis’ Richardson.

     

    Following an article published yesterday indicating that Richardson who was shot on Monday, May 12, 2008 while he was at Buckley’s Estate Project, reliable sources informed SKNVibes that Annette Phillip of Buckley’s Estate Project and Kegel Phipps of Fort Thomas were charged in connection with the incident.

     

    A police press release, dated May 15, 2008, confirmed that the duo was arrested and charged with the offence of “wounding with intent” and SKNVibes understands that they were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and would make a further appearance before the Magistrate on Friday.

     

    Richardson, 25, was brutally slain last evening while sitting on a wooden bench outside his Conaree home. Sometime after 9 o’clock shots rang out in the said area after which members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force responded to a report.

     

    According to a police press release, when they arrived on the scene they met Richardson on his back with wounds to his neck and head and “was motionless”.  ~~Adz:Right~~

     

    “The District Medical Doctor visited the scene and pronounced him dead. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Investigations are ongoing,” the police press release informed.

     

    The police issued its usual appeal “to persons with information to call the Criminal Investigation Department at 465-2241 ext. 236, 220 or 230, or the crime hotline at 707.”  They also promised that “information received will be treated with strict confidence”.
     
    Richardson is the Federation’s ninth murder victim for the year.
