BASSETERRE St.Kitts, February 16th, 2012 --The Basseterre High School is proud to announce its annual Miss BHS Pageant, schedule for Friday 30th March 2012 @ Carnival Village.
This year’s pageant will highlight the uniqueness of Basseterre High‘s school culture as the young ladies portray various platforms under the theme: Youth Mobilizing Youth to Transform Society.
Displaying talent and true school spirit are Theocita Allen representing Technology & Society, Onida Tyrell representing Youth at Risk , Dwashema Liburd representing Student Community Relations, Rosy Skelton representing Our Multicultural Society, Cariela Liburd representing Life Skills, and Ashlee Liburd representing School and National Pride .
The young ladies are currently engaged in preparations for the pageant. The expertise of Mr Jason Amory and Mrs Carlene Henry Morton is being used for training of the contestants in modeling, stage appearance, interviews and public speaking.
We have also sent out letters to businesses within the Basseterre community seeking sponsorship for our contestants, in kind and cash. We are also encouraging the general public to be supportive of this venture. All proceeds raised would be used to meet the immediate needs of the school.
The location of the photo shoot and photos compliments the Ocean Terrace Inn and Ryddim Margazine.
