    Garvey convicted of attempted murder
    …to be sentenced today

    ~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - IN less than an hour, Garvey Rogers of Conaree, who was yesterday convicted of attempting to murder fellow villager 27-year-old Devon ‘Junie’ Roberts, will learn of his fate.

     

    Rogers was convicted of committing the October 20, 2007 offence during which he shot Roberts three time times in the back.

     

    A 12-woman jury retired for deliberations about 11:45 yesterday and on their return reported to the court that they found the accused guilty as charged.

     

    Rogers was told by Justice Francis Belle that he is to appear before the court today for sentencing.
