BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - PERSONS in Nevis now have a new place at which they can purchase their pharmaceutical needs at an affordable rate with the newly established Horsford's Valu Mart IGA pharmacy.
Officially opened on 21st November, 2011, this full service pharmacy offers a wide range of prescription and non prescription drugs, vitamins, supplements and sexual wellness items among a host of other items.
Additionally, Horsford has wisely employed a pharmacist with over 10 years of pharmaceutical experience - Wesley Fraser.
Speaking with Fraser, he said that since the pharmacy's opening, customer flow has been great and is continuously increasing.
"Many are grateful as it is more convenient for them since they previously had to travel to St. Kitts to purchase their necessary pharmaceuticals," he said.
According to Horsford's Marketing Manager Wallis Wilkin, the pharmacy was established as a result of customer demand.
He said that Horsford wanted to provide their Nevisian customers with the opportunity to shop for everything they would need just as they have been doing in St. Kitts since the inception of the Horsford's Valu Mart IGA supermarket and pharmacy in St. Kitts in 2005.
No sooner had they begun operations than they collaborated with the Medical University of the Americas in staging a Wellness Fair.
On March 17, customers of both the Horsford's Valu Mart IGA pharmacy and the supermarket will be given the opportunity to have their Blood Glucose and Blood Pressure tested absolutely free.
In addition to the wide variety of items available at the newly established pharmacy, consumers are also offered the convenience of having their prescriptions filled while they shop at the Horsford's Valu Mart IGA supermarket.
The pharmacy's opening hours are 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.
The Horsford's Valu Mart IGA pharmacy is located at Farms Estate, Longpoint Road, Charlestown and is a subsection of the Horsford's Valu Mart IGA supermarket.
