BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, 21st February, 2012 -- After several weeks of work, LIME is pleased to announce that its mobile network has been successfully upgraded to an EDGE network on the island of Nevis.
All sites on the island have been upgraded to EDGE, enabling LIME to offer significantly increased data speeds and improved voice quality calls.
General Manager, David Lake said, “With an EDGE network fully entrenched in both islands, the company is poised to deliver the type of network which will drive business success, social and economic advancement and establish St. Kitts & Nevis as a place that is technologically ready for the demands of a modern world.”
In December last year a significant number of sites in St. Kitts were similarly upgraded to EDGE.
Over the coming weeks the company will roll out a number of communication programmes to bring closure to this three-month project.
