    Juveniles found hiding in cistern with stolen goods…

    ~~Adz:Right~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THE cistern [receptacle for water storage] of a Taylor’s Village home proved an unfit hiding place for two juveniles who were reportedly attempting to evade capture by police.

     

    The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force report that at about 12:35 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, the security alarm at the Pennyfeathers’ home was activated and prompted quick response by the members of the law enforcement body.

     

    A press release informs that when the Police arrived at the residence, the house was “quickly surrounded” and “a thorough search of the property” was conducted.
     
    The search revealed that “the two juveniles (were) hiding in a cistern” and had with them “back-packs which contained electronic items and a sum of money taken from the house.”

     

    The juveniles, according to the release, were arrested and are “presently in police custody”.

     

    SKNVibes has yet to ascertain whether or not the duo has been charged.

     

    Meanwhile, four individuals were arrested and charged in accordance with offences they are suspected to have committed.

     

    St. Pauls Villager Rayjorn Richards was arrested and charged on Tuesday, may 27 for carrying abroad an offensive weapon, while Sean Smith of Taylor’s Village was arrested and charged with “Battery” on May 28. The offence was allegedly committed on March 30, 2008.

     

    Vernon ‘Chico’ Simon of Douglas Street, Newtown was on Wednesday, May 28 arrested and charged with a May 25, 2008 offence of burglary, while Gavon Daniel of Cotton Ground, Nevis was arrested on Wednesday, May 28 and charged with “being armed with an offensive weapon”, “making use of indecent language” and “making use of threatening language”.
