TDC re-launched Automotive Division a promise of greater efficiency

(L-R) TDC’s Chairman Michael Morton, Automotive Division Manager Don Boncamper & Human Resource Manager Frededie Knight

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE TDC Group of Companies’ Automotive Division was buzzing with activity on Saturday (Feb. 25) with customers taking advantage of the department’s discounted goods and services as well as its newly-renovated spaces.

Described as another forward step in the development of the Group, the division was refurbished over a period of months with the aim of creating an atmosphere within which customers would experience more effective and efficient service.

Current and potential customers were invited to the plant to peruse the expanded and renovated surroundings while taking advantage of special offers and services as part of the department’s Customer Appreciation Day.

A brief ceremony was held at the frontal entrance to the building – carried live on FreedomFM 106.5 - during which the refurbished facility was declared open by the Group’s Chairman, Michael Morton.

In delivering brief remarks, Morton said the move to revamp the plant was an answer to calls made by customers “that we not only deliver the type of service which you require…but that we also provide you with the facilities that are not just modern but exceeding the standard set globally…”

Expressing the Group’s gratitude for the customers’ patronage, Morton said continued support would be appreciated.

“We seek your continued patronage, we plead for it and we do hope that we earn it as we continue to grow and expand and provide opportunities for our own people.”

Following the cutting of the ribbon, patrons were invited and members of the media were given a guided tour.

The former structure encompassed an outdoor display, offices and a garage – among others. However, the new one now houses an indoor showroom that complements the sales process and the outdoor display.

The one-stop shopping centre has been designed to operate similarly to a production line and reduces the unnecessary back and forth which customers had to endure.

Division manager Don Boncamper told SKNVibes that the event was a success.

“The re-launching was a succsess and it met our expectations. There was a steady flow of people and we got the message out that new shopping and excellent facilities. What we budgeted for that day I was realised.”
