Black San five make first appearance at Sugar City Reggae experience

Press Release

SANDY POINT, St. Kitts and Nevis, March 12th,  2012): Black San’ Bang-a-Lang has unveiled the models contending for the Miss Black San Swimsuit 2012 title, and they will make their very first appearance this Wednesday (March 14) at seaside restaurant Sprat Net, in Old Road.

This year’s five local beauties, a mix of Nevisians and Kittitians, will give the public just a sample of what to look forward to at the actual contest, set for April 8. Miss Black San’ is one of the most anticipated events of the entire Black San’ calendar and facing the crowds this year will be Masinda Nisbett and Sidama Jones both from Nevis, Jascur Hobson and Identity Top Model Management‘s Shennell Isaac and Anita Sullivan.

This Wednesday’s launch starts at 7:00 PM and is set to be an explosive cultural event, as Black San Bang-a-Lang partners with local reggae powerhouse Masud Sadiki and Limitless band to launch the girls to the public.

This is the festival’s very first pre-event and admission is free! You will get the chance to meet this year’s contestants, purchase your very own Black San' merchandise, enjoy entertainment from the sensational Limitless band and even a chance to win tickets to the upcoming show.

The excitement is mounting and according to Black San’ organizers, the launch is a partnership of cultural extremes!

In the words of Masud, this launch is a strong collaboration between Black San', Sprat Net and the Sugar City Reggae Experience night, one which he is convinced represents a unity of culture and the arts.

Sugar City Reggae Experience is the exciting and only Live Reggae event in the federation featuring Masud Sadiki, Page Thomas, Isean Sammuel, V-Sean Bolus and Toriana Samual powered by the Limitless band. And, this Wednesday, the live reggae music on the waterfront will set the stage for the models’ first show to the public.

Last year’s event was staged open-air on the shore of Pump Bay, attracting hundreds to the popular Sandy Point beach to see the models heat the catwalk with a collection of chic and vintage swimwear and even a segment of draw-dropping body paint. This year, thanks to the sponsors, the event will deliver exciting and innovative segments for the models.

Black San’ giant sponsors RAM’s Trading Ltd, Carib Brewery (SKN) Ltd and Daniel’s Trading Company Ltd. have given renewed support for the show, coming out of the quality of last year’s event. And for 2012, new sponsors including Cane Juice Clothing Line, has signed in support of what is sure to be a Black San’ 2012 highlight!
