Woman arrested trying to clear package containing firearms

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts- SKNVibes.com is following a developing story where a young woman was taken into custody at the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport earlier today when she attempted to clear a package containing illegal weapons that reportedly arrived via FedEx.
Information reaching this media house indicates that Customs officers made the discovery when they searched the parcel and notified police.
Police sources confirmed that the woman had been arrested and was being questioned but had not at that time, been charged with any offence relating to the find.
It was implied however that more than one gun was recovered from the package but no mention was made of ammunition being found.
The young woman involved is said to be from the Newton Ground area and is in her early to mid twenties.
