Basseterre, St. Kitts March 19th, 2012, (PAM Public Relations) -- The People's Action Movement 47th annual convention of Sunday March 18th, 2012 , lived up to the theme “Motivating Our People Into Action For A Stronger Movement”, it was one of excitement and inspiration.
This year's upbeat event put to rest any question of the party's readiness to govern.Members and supporters witnessed a demonstration of the tremendous confidence of the party going forward.
The Party's Headquarters was packed with many of the party's members, friends , supporters and well wishers. All the speakers were very well received as they each laid out for the audience the way forward with a People's Action Movement government.
Presentations were filled with factual and detailed points about the current Labour administration's incompetence, ineptitude, nepotism, and thegrowing corruption that has taken hold and crippling our nation.
The guest speaker, Hon. Andrew Holness , provided motivation to the crowd and discussed how it was important to continue to press for integrity legislation in order to reign in unscrupulous practices of government, and to provide general protection for the masses.
PAM Party Political Leader, Lindsay Fitz-Patrick Grant moved and excited the audience with a well received presentation touching on many of the major socio-political problems, and stated that he was on high alert, in high gear, and implored them to get ready for action to finally rid this country of the present corrupt Labour administration.
Other convention speakers included the young and vibrant Jonel Powell with the youth perspective on the ills affecting this country and the way forward, while Ms Cindey Demming gave the women's perspective, Deputy Political Leader, Eugene Hamilton, Deputy Political Leader Shawn Richards all roused the crowd.
The evening was capped with the convention honouring eight party stalwarts, one from each constituency on St. Kitts, for their sterling contribution to the advancement of the People's Action Movement.
