BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – OFFICERS of the Delta Squad will be conducting a five-day Stop and Search Operation in the Federation and members of the public are asked to give their fullest cooperation.

A release from the Police Public Relations Office states that the operations would be conducted on both islands of the Federation, starting from 3:00 p.m. today (Mar. 22) and ending at 7:00 a.m. on Monday (Mar. 26).

“All persons are asked to cooperate with law enforcement officials as we continue to put into effect our Zero Tolerance Initiative to Crime and Violence so as to ensure the peace and safety within our Federation. All persons found in contravention of the laws of the Federation will be pursued,” the release read.

It also states that the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force is cognisant that during this period there would be a number of major social functions on both islands, and that “the Commissioner of Police Mr. CG Walwyn appeals to the general public to ensure that basic safety tips as previously published by this agency are practised”.
