Three-year jail sentence for Unlawful Carnal Knowledge

~~Adz:Left~~ BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - AN Old Road man was today convicted for unlawful carnal knowledge and was jailed with hard labour.

The man’s case began yesterday with a few witnesses for the prosecution taking the stand, but there was no defence witness. 

The accused however took the stand and told the court that he was innocent of the offence for which he was charged.

Sometime this afternoon, a 12-member jury unanimously convicted him of the offence and he was sentenced to serve three years with hard labour at Her Majesty’s Prison.
