~~Adz:Left~~BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are currently investigating two incidents that appear to be linked; a vehicle that was stolen and sometime after used in the commission of a gun-related offence.

Sources close to SKNVibes informed that sometime after 1:00 on Sunday morning, a young couple, while within a vehicle [PA3372] in the Brighton Estate area, was approached by a lone masked gunman who ordered them to disembark, relieve them of their cellular phones and made off with the vehicle.

SKNVibes understands that shortly after the couple was robbed, two men sustained gunshot injuries after an individual(s) drove by in the stolen vehicle and fired at them. The shooting is said to have taken place in the vicinity of Henry’s Night Spot, Cayon and left Devon Millard of Upper Cayon with gunshot wounds to his hands and Tashi Govia of Hermitage Cayon with a gunshot wound to his foot.

Information reaching this media house stated that they were both taken to the Joseph N. France General for treatment, and while Millard was admitted and listed in a stable condition, Govia has since been discharged.

Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating the stolen vehicle and are asking that persons with relative information should “call the Cayon Police Station at telephone number 465-7258 or the Criminal Investigations Department [CID] at 465-2241 ext. 220, 230 or 236”.

The vehicle, according to the Police, “is a metallic blue 1993 Nissan Station Wagon”.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting or robbery is also encouraged to contact any Police Station or the CID. All are reminded that any information received by the Police will be treated with the strictest confidence.
