The members of staff were taken on a breath-taking tour last Saturday (Mar. 24) as part of the online media house’s 10th Anniversary celebration in the month of March.
The thrilling experience began with a full orientation on the use of the bikes and safety precautions, after which we were all ready to mount the bikes for a wildly invigorating ride.
With the wind in our faces and a much-anticipated drive ahead of us, the staff of the number one media house in St. Kitts and Nevis took off on a journey that we wished had no end.
Our experienced guides led us on a thrilling ride through canefields, down dirt tracks and up scenic slopes with views of neighbouring villages.
We enjoyed spectacular views of exotic plants; watched, up close, cattle grazing on the fertile grass; discovered rare insects; and devoured fruits that some of us only heard about from our grandparents.
Trees such as coconut, tamarind, mango, soursop, manciport and marmi apple are just a few that were admired on our fabulous journey.
With a camera in hand, we paused a few times to capture the picturesque views.
Half-way through the tour, we made a stop at the Old Sugar Mill in Lamberts Village and were given another tour with a short history lesson.
We learned a little about that Old Sugar Mill - what it was used for, by whom and what it is currently being renovated into. Look out clubbers; soon you may have a new venue in which to party.
Some even made a few wishes at a wishing well, which is also a great place to take that special someone on an extraordinary date.
After that tour, it was back on-route to the starting point.
On the way back, we made a quenching stop to rejuvenate and add to the energy that was already rushing through our bodies.
We watched one of the tour guides skillfully climbed a coconut tree that had to be at least 60 feet tall and grabbed some of nature's goodies that we all devoured. It was deliciously refreshing!
After that outstanding tour, the media house representatives all gathered around the bar. And what better way to wind down such a 'hype' than with a cool drink of lemonade and chit-chat about the fun we had.

This is actually a great tension reliever, just hop on an ATV bike and drive through nature. The views are beautiful and the experience was second to none. I can definitely say this will not be my only tour. I am bringing everybody!"
The smell of nature, the lush green scenery, the stunning views and the history lesson are just small parts of what made that journey one we will remember in years to come.
