CHARLESTOWN, Nevis - CUBAN medics interacted with doctors, nurses and officials of the Nevis Island Administration at a workshop held last week at the Nevis Credit Union conference room.
The Cuban medical team was led by the Cuban Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis Ana Maria Gonzales and eight different topics centred on prevention were presented. The Ambassador told the gathering that that there were 13 Cuban doctors in the Federation – 11 in St. Kitts and two in Nevis.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. Bardales Essien, a gynaecologist; Dr. Sular Perez, a Cuban Paedtrician; and Dr. Beatriz Gonzales, a Cuban Physiotherapist.
The Ministry of Health and Alexandra Hospital collaborated with the organisers to make the workshop, what many participants expressed, a highly successful event.
