    Gunmen rob Chinese Restaurant, Snackette’s owner

    CHARLESTOWN, Nevis – MEMBERS of the Nevis Division of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are once again busy, as this time they are not conducting raids but investigating two armed robbery in as many days.

     

    The more recent of the two took place last evening at Young’s Chinese Restaurant on Old Hospital Road.

     

    It was reported that around 10:30 p.m. yesterday, owner of the restaurant, Young Chan Lau, his wife and a customer were held at gunpoint by two men who demanded money.

     

    While no injuries were reported, the owner was physically assaulted.

     

    Sources indicate that the perpetrators escaped with an undisclosed sum of money.~~Adz:Right~~

     

    The other robbery occurred on the previous night when Rosalyn Bartlette, owner of D-L’s Snackette on West Square Street in Charlestown, was approached by a number of armed masked men while at her Prospect Estate home.

     

    Bartlette, who was not carrying any money at the time, was robbed of a cellular phone and items of jewellery.

     

    Police investigations are ongoing.
