KINGSTOWN St.Vincent, March 30th, 2012 -- SVG Enet is now a reality thanks to a partnership between the Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the European Union.
SVG eNet is the Education Portal of St. Vincent and the Grenadines through which the Ministry of Education can interact with students and schools and have information disseminated in both directions, through the use of the internet.
The portal was developed by eCaribbean Limited, a St. Kitts based organization.
Speaking during yesterday's launch Senior Assistant Secretary, Catherine Joyette said the new portal will improve the delivery of Education programs throughout St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
Ms. Joyette who was speaking on behalf of the Minister of Education, Girlyn Miguel said as the country enters the modern age, Technology has become an integral tool in the continued development of the nation’s school curriculum.
Director of eCaribbean Limited, Rodney Browne said St. Vincent and the Grenadines is positioned to be one of the leading countries in the Information and Communications Technology sector and he encouraged the local stakeholders to do more work in this regard.
