KINGSTOWN St.Vincent, March  30th, 2012   --  Minister of Transport and Works, Julian Francis, is of the view that any upgrades to the current bridge leading to the Fort Charlotte should add to the aesthetic appeal of the historical landmark.

Speaking in Parliament on Monday, Minister Francis said the Chief Engineer within the ministry has proposed the construction of a parallel bridge and conduct renovations on the existing bridge.

However, Minister Francis said he is not in favor of any project which would reduce the tourism appeal.

Minister Francis said the National Trust is also playing a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of the Fort Charlotte and surrounding facilities.
