ST.JOHN'S Antigua, April 4, 2012 -- Businesses registered to participate in Staycations 2012 will be provided with an opportunity for greater marketing reach via the official Staycations Antigua website due to be launched on April 4th at the Villas at Sunset Lane.
The website will feature all the exhibitors registered for the May 19th and 20th event to be held at the Sir Viv Richards Stadium from 2pm to 7pm daily under the theme “Relax, Rejuvenate, Get Energized and Excited”.
Visitors to the website would have the opportunity to view all that would be on offer at the Staycations 2012 expo, with regards to packages and special offers for nationals wishing to vacation in at home.
The website will feature in-depth information on the properties which will be google mapped, links to their official website, staycation T.V and ads; with a future goal of providing an online booking engine to the properties that participate.
“This provides an additional bonus for participating in the annual Staycations expo, because it adds to our PR machinery leading up to the event and it extends beyond the expo for a full year with real time updates and features”, remarks Ms. Vashti Ramsey Chairperson of the Staycation Expo committee.
She continued, “This means that persons interested in Staycations (at whatever time of the year) will have a base where information on special packages and prices for locals can be continuously obtained.”
Ms. Ramsey is making an appeal to the members of the Hospitality Industry whether it may be in the accommodations, tours and excursions, or culinary and entertainment sector to take advantage of the opportunity to register for the expo and market their products locally.
Registration is ongoing at the Ministry of Tourism Headquarters on the Queen Elizabeth Highway during regular office hours. Booth spaces range in the premium, standard and rear location categories and prices range from EC $250 to $150 respectively.
