ST.JOHN'S Antigua,  April 10th, 2012  --  Minister of National Security, the Hon. Dr. Errol Cort is set to introduce a Lie Detection Test as part of the entrance requirements for applicants to the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.

According to Dr. Cort, the test will assist in determining placement of senior officers within the Force. He suggests that new recruits be screened during the application process so that the right selections can be made.

Dr. Cort says Lie Detection Machines are used throughout the world in the area of crime solving and according to dialogue he’s had with regional organizations as well as UK and US agencies, Lie Detection Machines are seen as “the device for the future.”

At present, Lie Detection Machines are used in a few Departments within the Force and Dr. Cort is of the opinion that all members of the Force be screened.

Lie Detection Machines are primarily used in crime-fighting methods and the Minister says it could greatly help in the country’s own crime fighting strategies.
