SVG Community College To Host Lecture Later This Month

    KINGSTOWN St.Vincent, April 11th,  2012   --   The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College will continue its series of lectures later this month.

     

    The College says in a release that the lecture will challenge certain practices in education in the region as being undemocratic and inequitable. Director of the College Dr. Joel Warrican will speak on the topic “Exorcising the Demons of Colonialism – Creating Participating Citizens through Democracy in Education”.

     

    Dr. Warrican is also a Lecturer and has published and presented papers on Educational Issues both regionally and Internationally.

     

    The release says the lecture coincides with the release of Dr. Warrican’s fifth book which provides guidance for Teachers of Literacy in a Caribbean context.

     

    The lecture takes place at Frenches House on Wednesday April 25th beginning at 8pm.
