Masked man wounds Cardin Avenue resident

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE are investigating a wounding incident involving a male resident of Cardin Avenue and five masked men, one of whom was armed with a machete.

     

    Information reaching this publication states that while asleep at about 2:25 a.m. on Monday (Apr. 9), Gamba Lewis was awaken by a loud sound at his Cardin Avenue home.

     

    On investigating, Lewis found that his front door was broken off and he saw five masked men standing at the entrance to his home.

     

    Reportedly, one of the men who was armed with a machete attacked and wounded him over his left eye.

     

    Lewis however managed to evade further injury by running to a neighbour’s home where he sought refuge.

     

    The wounded man was transported to the JNF General Hospital, where he was treated for his injury and subsequently discharged.
