Black San' presents another eventful weekend

By: Jenise Ferlance, SKNVibes.com

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts - THERE is just no slowing down for the Sandy Pointers Inspiring Real Improvement Throughout (SPIRIT)'s Black San' Bang-a-Lang community festival, as the youth group is poised to bring another eventful weekend for patrons.

Two unique events, one explosive weekend!

The weekend boasts a calendar of events from carnival-like folklore to mini-music festival.

The weekend kicks off tomorrow night (Apr. 13) when 42nd Street will come alive with Bang-a-Lang Avenue, which promises to be a an evening of folklore with, of course, a Bang-a-Lang twist!

The evening would be featuring Moca Jumbies, Masquerades, Clowns and Bull among others. DJ Six-a-Clack would be providing musical entertainment for all to enjoy.

The fun does not end there!

On the following evening (Apr. 14), SKNVibes would be hosting the most-looked forward to event of the Black San' Bang-a-Lang festival – Second Annual SKNVibes Knockshore Night.

Patrons are promised 'a whale of a time' when four stages come alive, as the Nu Vybes Band International, Grand Masters Band, Kollision Band and The Lightz Out Band will electrify the audience one by one.

A fifth stage is expected to host an abundance of top local artists and DJs including Heineken Evolution HD, Mixklusiv International, Unstoppable Chalice, Chronical Sounds and Mad Squad Sounds.

The action kicks off at 10:00 p.m. with an admission fee of just EC$30. Represent your favourite band with color-glow wrist band and glow necklaces which will be provided upon entry.

Sugarheads - blue, Grand Masters Addicts - green, Kollision Family - orange, Lightz Out Massive – red, and the neutral color-glow bands for the event would be yellow.

Unfortunately, the Easter Cannon Ball Hunt that was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Brimestone Hill Fortress had to be postponed until April 29.

So, Black San' Bang-a-Lang continues this weekend and everyone is invited to come out to this 'cultural fete at Belle Tete'!

You have to be there to experience it all! Everybody come!
