BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – A warrant was issued by the Magistrate of the District ‘B’ Magistrate’s Court in Sandy Point for the arrest of a Woman Sergeant (SGT) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for failing to attend a court hearing.
Information reaching SKNVibes states that the SGT would be appearing tomorrow morning (Apr. 20) at the same magistrate’s court to answer the charge laid against her.
This media house contacted the woman’s counsel, Attorney-at-Law Chesley Hamilton, who said that his client did attend court on the day she was required to be there and noted that the issue of unlawful imprisonment is a matter pending litigation.
“This imprisonment is malicious and vindictive, as the Sergeant did show up in court on her own accord on the day in question and the warrant was not withdrawn,” Hamilton added.
More on this issue following tomorrow’s hearing.
