Minister of National Security, Hon. G. A. Dwyer Astaphan |
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – WHILE rumours of the resignation of the Minister of National Security, G. A. Dwyer Astaphan, have yet to be substantiated or refuted by him, the Public Relations Officer in his ministry, Vesta Southwell, indicated that as far as she knows, he has not resigned.
Early yesterday morning, rumours began circulating in the Federation that Astaphan, the Minister responsible for National Security, Justice, Immigration and Labour had relinquished his ministerial duties.
SKNVibes endeavoured to contact the Minister but was unsuccessful in its attempts. This media house, however, spoke with PRO Southwell who indicated that she had not heard of any such rumours and further indicated that she was not advised that such had taken place.
“He has not resigned as far as I know. I have not received any inform that he has resigned. This is the first I’ve heard of that,” Southwell said.
She further advised that Minister Astaphan was the best person to contact on the issue. Further attempts to call Minister Astaphan were unsuccessful. ~~Adz:Right~~
