PAM expresses condolences and to dedicate Calypso Bacchanal to the memories of fallen calypsonians

    BASSETERRE St. Kitts, April 26th, 2012  --  Leader Lindsay Grant  and The Executive of the People's Action Movement  along with Deputy Leader and constituency#8 representative Hon. Eugene Hamilton extends deepest condolences to  the entire calypso fraternity and the loved ones of two of the Federation's most beloved calypsonians whom we lost yesterday.

     

    Fred “The King of the 29 Fellows” Doyling passed away at age 96, and Andreas “Singing Angie” Walters passed away at the age of 41. Singing Angie was a former 2-time PAM Calypso Queen and was slated to perform at next week's PAM Calypso Bacchanal on May 4th .

     

    In light of the passing of the Legendary “King of the 29 fellas” and the popular former PAM Calypso Queen Angie,  next weekend’s Calypso Bacchanal will be dedicated to their memories.

     

    Some of the  more popular songs  by “The King of the 29 fellas” are “He was a hero” “Smut” and “Oh Poor Women”.

     

    Queen Angie had hits including  “Queen of Green” “Lord Heavens Knows”, “One Song”, and “A done pay me money.
