Grenada
Dear Prime Minister Thomas,
On behalf of The People's Action Movement (P.A.M) of The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, I have the esteemed honour to offer my congratulations on your electoral victory, July 8, 2008, and best wishes as you assume the Office of the Prime Minister of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique on July 9, 2008. ??
It is instructive that the conduct of the Grenada election has received high marks from the Deputy Secretary General of the Organisation of American States; which had a team of election observers on the ground well before the elections.
OAS election observers had earlier called for reform of the voter registration system, with the OAS assisting in the preparation of the new voters register. ~~Adz:Right~~
PAM has vigorously protested the pollution of the current re-confirmation process, over which, in violation of the constitution and electoral law Prime Minister Douglas has taken full control.
The People's Action Movement congratulates the Grenadian people on their example to the region and to the world the conduct of model elections that were free and fair, and free from fear. This is the model St. Kitts and Nevis must follow.
The People's Action Movement offers congratulations once again on your electoral victory, and best wishes as you assume the Office of the Prime Minister.
Yours faithfully,
Mr. Lindsay F.P. Grant
Leader of the Opposition
People's Action Movement (PAM)
