Burglars break bank!!

Basseterre, St. Kitts - YET another in a spate of crimes against the private business sector in St. Kitts occurred in the early hours this morning when criminals burglarised the Fort Street Branch of the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Preliminary investigations indicate that at approximately 3:00 a.m., some perpetrator(s) broke a glass window on the Fort Street side of the building near to the entrance of the TDC Mall and ‘fished’ a laptop out of the office.
It was also opined that the burglars managed to get the laptop within grasping distance by pulling on its cords. It appeared that in the process, some injury was sustained cut themselves as blood was found on the broken window pane and blinds through which the laptop was snatched. 
The bank manager and police were alerted of the incident when the break-in triggered the security alarm.
Dimitrios Adamopoulos, Country Manager of Bank of Nova Scotia St Kitts & Nevis spoke to SKNVibes.com and described the incident as “petty” since only one item was taken.
From the standpoint of data security, Adamopoulos said, “There was no confidential information stored on the computer as all information is normally stored on the company’s network.”
The Country Manager said measures have been taken to prevent a repeat occurrence of this type. He noted that the response of the local Police was timely and expressed appreciation of such.
