Another gun off the streets

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – IN recent times, the Federation’s security forces have up the ante in their effort to rid the streets of St. Kitts and Nevis of illegal firearms and much success has been achieved.
Just one day after a sniper rifle was discovered at Pitcairn Street, Basseterre, members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force found another illegal firearm in the Capital.
The officers executed a search warrant on the premises of Thomas Renix of East Street, Newtown and found one Glock Semi-automatic Pistol, 75 rounds of ammunition

ranging from .38mm to 7.62mm and six magazines.
The items were seizes and Renix was taken into police custody. According to a police press release, he would be charged with possession of illegal items.
This find brings to 23 the number of illegal firearms that have been confiscated by the police for the year.
