Who will be crowned the first ever Miss SKNFA Sports Personality?

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – SIX beauties will be vying for the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) first ever Miss Sports Personality crown but only one can win.

     

    The contestants vying are Tricilla Arthurton representing C.C.C Bath United, Kendresha Wattley representing S.L Horsfords St. Pauls, Delphic Newtown will be represented by Shiwani Gumbs, Claire Burke will represent St. Thomas Trinity Strikers, Conaree FC will be represented by Anthea Morris and Brittney Duggins will represent Village Superstars.
     
    The pageant will be held on Saturday, June 23 at Carnival Village and according to a member of the pageant’s planning committee and an Executive Member of the SKNFA, Dominic Stevens, the pageant is one of the ideas that derived from fund raising initiatives they were considering.
     
    They will be competing in the following areaas: Promotional Speech where they will present themselves in their team’s jersey; Creative Wear - where they will create an outfit from the jersey; a Talent segment, Evening wear and onstage Interview.

    The contestants have been a part of several activities and appearances leading up to the pageant including an Orientation Day where they had several speakers - Troy Willock, Rhyllis Percival and Freddie Knight.

    According to a member of the pageant committee, Altonia Springer, they have a number of upcoming appearances including The People’s Show, Pep TV, a visit with Minister of Sports Glen Phillip, a trip to Nevis, church service and a motorcade.

    “Everything has been going well; we have been receiving tremendous support from the teams and we’re expecting the contestants to put on a great show.

    “The contestants are confident and eager to showcase their talents and skills and we want to invite everyone to come out and support,” she said.
