BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – AFTER an unfortunate incident in which he fell and hit his head, the Queen’s representative to St. Kitts-Nevis, Governor General Dr. Sir Cuthbert Sebastian has been released from hospital and is said to be “doing well”.
Yesterday (June 7), Dr. Sebastian was in attendance of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Service at the St. George’s Anglican Church, Basseterre when he fell.
Information emanating from Government House indicated that Sir Cuthbert tripped on a wire and fell, hitting his head in the process.
This publication understands that he was taken to the Joseph N. France General Hospital for treatment.
Further information coming out of Government House indicated that he was discharged from the hospital last night and not only has he recovered well, but he reported for work this morning (June 8).
Upon learning of the incident, several persons had expressed their concern and wished the Governor General a speedy and full recovery.
The 90-year-old de facto Head of State was appointed to that position in 1995 and was sworn-in on January1 the following year.
