    Five Employees of the Quarter to be Honoured

    Roadtown; Tortola Wednesday, 23 July – Five public servants have been chosen as the Government’s employees of the second quarter, 2008.

     

    Ms. Jasmine Bannis of the Conservation and Fisheries Department; Mr. Michael Davis of the Water and Sewerage Department; Ms. Darlene Forbes of the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Anslem McMillan of Her Majesty’s Prison; and Ms. Betina Norris of the Civil Registry & Passport Office will be honoured at a presentation ceremony on Thursday, July 24, at Prospect Reef’s Callaloo Restaurant.

     

    Thursday’s ceremony is expected to include remarks by His Excellency the Governor Mr. David Pearey, Deputy Governor Mr. Elton Georges, and Director of Human Resources Mr. David Archer. During the evening, honourees will receive special presentations for their achievement.

     

    The five winners were nominated by their co-workers and completed an interview and selection process led by the Employee of the Quarter Steering Committee.

     

    Director of Human Resources Mr. David Archer congratulated the honourees. “These employees set a good example for their families, their co-workers and the community by their commitment to public service,” he said.

     

    The Employee of the Quarter recognition programme began in December 2005. The initiative is designed to encourage workplace excellence and to highlight the accomplishments of individual public servants. ~~Adz:Right~~
