BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – THE immediate family of local calypsonian Errol ‘Arrow’ Dolphin, who was recently stricken with illness, is conveying thanks to those who offered prayers on his behalf and are soliciting the continued prayers of his well-wishers.

On Monday (June 11), Dolphin – a citizen of St. Kitts-Nevis who has been residing in St. Marteen for a number of years – suffered a heart attack and was admitted to a medical institution on that island where he is currently being observed and receiving treatment.

Though the severity of the situation has not been relayed to this publication, one of his daughters told SKNVibes that Dolphin is "unconscious" but is "in stable condition and is coming around slowly".

SKNVibes understands that close relatives have travelled to St. Maarten to be by his side as he recovers and, according to the daughter, only the immediate family is allowed to visit him at this stage.

She however noted that Dolphin's family is extremely grateful to those who have been offering prayers - for a speedy and full recovery - on his behalf. She also expressed that the family would appreciate the continued rendering of prayers for her father's full recovery from his illness

Dolphin, known in the calypso arena as ‘De King Arrow’, is the brother of ‘Jabo’ of Market Street and Terrence Dolphin, proprietor of Uncle T’s on Cayon Street.

He has made significant contributions to the art form over the years performing pieces such as ‘Judge Dread’, ‘Arise’ and ‘Christmas Pains’.

Only last year he had shared a stage with the likes of King Meeko out of Nevis at ZIZ’s 50th Anniversary Calypso Show, where he was awarded a commemorative plaque.

SKNVibes wishes Errol ‘Arrow’ Dolphin a speedy and full recovery.
