Lewis gunned down near girlfriend’s home

    BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – POLICE have identified last night’s (June 13) murder-victim as Lloyd ‘Hallowpoint’ Lewis, a young man said to be in his mid-twenties and who resided at Bath Village.

     

    Information reaching SKNVibes is that Lewis was gunned down in Cotton Ground near his girlfriend’s home in Nevis while another who was shot, Antonio ‘Dollars’ Hutton of Cotton Ground escaped death as he was shot in his left leg.

     

    News of a shooting spread quickly last night as shots rang in Cotton Ground at approximately 9:40 p.m.

     

    According to a Police Press Release, after Lewis was pronounced dead on the scene by Dr. Ravi, with the Coroner's permission the body was escorted to the Alexandra Hospital.

     

    Investigations into this matter are ongoing and persons having any information surrounding this incident are kindly asked to contact the Police.

     

    “The Commissioner of Police C G Walwyn craves the support of the general public as we deploy all available resources so as to bring to justice the perpetrators of this crime,” release stated.

     

    According to a reliable source, Lewis journeyed to Cotton Ground to visit his girlfriend and was a few houses away when he got shot.

     

    SKNVibes learnt that someone opened fire from some nearby bushes and Lewis ran to his girlfriend’s home while Hutton ran towards the main road.

     

    It is believed that Lewis collapsed outside his girlfriend’s home and more fire may have been opened on him.

     

    A number of persons have been picked up for questioning but no arrests have been made as yet.
